All India Consumer Price Index Number for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) on base 2001=100 for the month of June, 2011 increased by 2 points and stood at 189 (one hundred & eighty nine) .
Calculating the last 12 months average it is almost certain that Central employees are likely to get 7 % Dearness Allowance with effect from 1st July 2011.
The index no. for Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr & May 2011 was 188, 185, 185, 186 & 187 respectively.

No hike in retirement age, Govt. clarifies.
New Delhi, Aug 9 (PTI) The government today said there is no proposal to raise the retirement age of its employees from 60 years at present.
"At present there is no proposal to increase the age of retirement of Government servants,"Minister of State for Finance Namo Narain Meena said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
He said this in reply to a query on whether the government was considering increasing the retirement age of all central government employees by two years to 62 years, from the current 60.
The government raised the retirement age of central government employees in 1998, when the age of superannuation was extended from 58 to 60 years.
Meena said the total number of Central Government employees as on March 1, 2010, was 32.24 lakh
The total expenditure incurred by the government after the implementation of the recommendation of the 6th Pay Commission amounts to Rs 94,270.50 crore in the fiscal 2010-11. This was higher than Rs 78,111.20 crore incurred in 2009-10, Meena added.

कैडर रिस्ट्रक्चरिंग की बैठक के परिणाम
आल इंडिया रेलवे मेन फेडेरेसन की वेब साईट के अनुसार, २०-५-२०११ को हुई कैडर रिस्ट्रक्चरिंग समिति की बैठक के परिणाम स्वरुप, टिकेट चेकिंग कैडर का स्वरुप निम्नानुसार करने पर सहमति बनी है. आशा है की, रेलवे अधिकारिक पत्र भी शीघ्र जारी करते हुए एक अति बिलम्बित मुद्दे का निराकरण करेगी.
