A new train no scheme is being adopted by the railway board and supposed to be operational by 20-12-2010.
Under this scheme all train nos will be changed to 5 digits regardless of their being local, passanger, holiday special summer special, suburban or regular train. all the trains will be monitored through PRS, NTES and other technical windows.
